Fomato is a stationery line based in Eagle Rock, California.  The cards are drawn by Emmie Hsu (me) and are sold in retail shops in the U.S., Canada, and a few other neat places.

There are three types of cards:
• Letterpress cards; each individually pressed on a Vandercook press and trimmed with a vintage guillotine cutter
• Vector-illustrated cards, featuring random topics and lots of text
• Watercolor cards, painted with Kolinsky sable brushes (four of which were recently eaten by cats) (not even my cats), and reproduced via CMYK 4-color process

I grew up in Kansas and spent several summers in Taiwan, where my sisters and I wandered around eating street food, petting stray dogs and scratching our 200+ mosquito bites, and then going into stationery shops and rubbing our grimy hands all over their beautiful cards, stationery and stickers.  I've always loved colorful images on paper, and the interesting items I found in those stores inspired me to start this line.
